Native & Natural - The Results
Here are the results of 2011's Native & Natural Photography Competition. The response has been excellent with hundreds of images entered. Thank you to all who took part. Such was the high standard of the images received, the judging panel, owner David Mills, Head Keeper Matt Binstead and award-winning wildlife photographer Andy Rouse, had a tough job selecting the winning entries. Congratulations to all our category winners who receive a BWC family ticket
A special congratulations goes to Jamie Holme, not only the winner of the Junior Category, but also the overall winner, for this beautiful shot of one the Centre's water voles. Jamie, who was 11 when he took the picture, wins a 1 to 1 at the Centre with Andy Rouse.
The judging panel commented: "We saw many entries of the water vole this year, but this one leaped out to us as a contender. It was different to the others, but still a classic portrait photograph. The close crop works really well to provide a different view of this adorable British mammal, with his paw holding the rush whilst eating really making it for us."
